California abuse video staged, says Gemperle

Nathan Runkle, executive director of Mercy for Animals, goes on the air to talk about his organization and animal rights. MFA is the group that claims responsibility for the video shot at a California egg farm.

Animal welfare needs paradigm shifts - Among the points made by Dr. Curtis in this commentary are that animal agriculture lacks strong leaders willing to take on the issue of animal welfare and that industry keeps wasting dollars on sponsoring meeting after meeting that fall short of arriving at a solution. A better approach, in his opinion, is support for actions focused on an actual end result.
