Main Story: Ag helps protect, grow trees

CONTRARY to popular belief, farmers across the globe are planting and maintaining trees and forests both to improve the environment and to provide human-consumable products.

As global policy-makers prepare to meet in Copenhagen, Denmark, later this year to discuss international climate change mitigation strategies, work done at the World Agroforestry Centre could provide a basis for giving farmers a financial incentive to further increase tree cover on their farms.

Additional information on how farmers and ranchers help protect the environment while producing human-consumable products is available at www.FeedstuffsFoodLink.com.
